I would like to share with you a little about myself and my ministry. My musical background and influences comes from a wide variety and all different types of music including Bluegrass, Country, a little bit of Southern Rock, some Jazz, Blues and a whole lot of different kinds of Gospel/Christian music. Some say they can hear a little bit of them all in my originals. Which to me is a good thing!
Even though this is a ministry, I still believe in professionalism, I still like to entertain (in Christ) and I still want to make it a fun and exciting experience to be a part of one of my events. I want to show people that you can have joy and it can be fun and exciting being a Christian. But first and foremost and above all else, I want to introduce people from all walks of life, to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And the best way that I know to do this, is through my music. The words/lyrics were written by me but inspired by God through real life, personal experiences and situations both good and bad, that most people can relate to in one way or another. But more importantly, the songs are also testimonies that tell how God has miraculously and always brought me through these situations and experiences. They also let people know that what God has done for me, He can and will do for anyone!
I have spent many years out in the bar-rooms and nightclubs entertaining people for all the wrong reasons. Now I feel that it’s time to bring that same level of energy into a ministry, but only with a changed heart, in different places/venues, and for all the right reasons! After all, if I worked so hard and spent so much time, dedication, and practice trying to perfect my God given talents while playing music for the devil for all those years, then why can't I work just as hard or even harder at playing and actually having fun while doing it for the Lord? I believe that God does have a since of humor and wants us to enjoy the life that He has given us while we are here on this earth!
I play and sing along to sound tracks of my original music and my oldest son Russ (Rusty) Nottingham Jr takes care of the sound.
